McPherson at the finish

The top four, Stephenie Ann McPherson, Kendall Ellis, Shakima Wimbley and Philly Francis had already established a convincing lead in the first 150 metres of the race. However, it was in the final home straight that the outcome of the race was decided, Jamaican Stephenie Ann McPherson absolutely smoking to get the better of the three Americans and cross the finish line in 51’’11.
