Robert-Michon to challenge Perkovic in the discus
Mélina Robert-Michon is well behind Sandra Perkovic in their current face-off. However, she’s gaining strength, whilst the Croatian isn’t yet at the peak of fitness. Mélina Robert-Michon and Sandra Perkovic are due to meet at the Charléty Stadium on 24 August. They have already clashed on two occasions this season.

The line-up for the MEETING de PARIS 2019 is taking shape. With one month to go till the big day on Saturday 24 August at Charléty Stadium, things are looking good. The French leg of the IAAF Diamond League will once again offer the public audience the very best of world athletics. Headlining the event will be a series of what promise to be explosive duels, in both track and field, men and women’s competitions.

The first two clashes announced at Charléty Stadium
The MEETING de PARIS 2019, set to be hosted on 24 August at the Charléty Stadium, has some supreme clashes in the pipeline between the world’s top athletes. In the pole vault competition, Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie will be up against the reigning European champion and current number 1 on the world stage this season, Swedish athlete Mondo Duplantis. In the second face-off, Frenchman Pascal Martinot-Lagarde, reigning European champion, will be challenging the 2015 world champion, Russian Sergey Shubenkov and the Olympic silver medallist, Spaniard Orlando Ortega.

Mayer and Lavillenie ready to inspire at Charléty
The date is set. The MEETING DE PARIS will take place on Saturday 24 August 2019 at the Charléty Stadium with the same promise as ever: offering athletics at its best. Frenchmen Kevin Mayer, world record holder in the decathlon, and Renaud Lavillenie, world record holder in the pole vault, are the first two star performers to be unveiled for this unmissable meeting, which is perfectly positioned in the event schedule, one month before the World Championships in Doha.

Abderrahman Samba and Caster Semenya posted impressive performances on Saturday at Charléty, during a MEETING de PARIS that was also punctuated by the victory of Ronnie Baker in the 100m.
Kendricks sets the bar very high
Sam Kendricks won the pole vault competition at the MEETING de PARIS on Saturday at Charléty, securing the best performance in the world this season: 5.96m.

American Ronnie Baker won the 100m at the MEETING de PARIS on Saturday at Charléty in a time of 9"88, equalling the best performance in the world this season.
