Flat out in the hurdles
SPEED IN PARIS. The slogan for the 2018 edition of the MEETING de PARIS, on Saturday 30 June at the Charléty Stadium, is not just about the sprint competition. Indeed, the hurdles events promise to be just as quick and explosive, with the hurdlers gunning for the best times in the world this season. Equally, the dizzying heights of the continental records may also fall.

In the name of SPEED
Good old habits die hard. True to form, on Saturday 30 June 2018 at the Charléty Stadium, the MEETING de PARIS will offer a programme in which the sprint event promises to be explosive. The organisers of the French leg of the IAAF Diamond League are guaranteed the presence on the track of the biggest names in today’s athletics. The clash of safe bets and rising stars is not be missed.

An 800m burning with enthusiasm
A double ration of thrills. On Saturday 30 June 2018, the MEETING de PARIS will present the audience at the Charléty Stadium with two reigning world champions from one of the most explosive middle-distance events: the 800m. Caster Semenya on the one hand, Pierre-Ambroise Bosse on the other. Two of the most iconic stars of world athletics competing in the French leg of the IAAF Diamond League. A guaranteed showstopper.

Nafissatou Thiam set to take things to another level in Paris !
The line-up is complete. Following on from French athlete, Kevin Mayer, world decathlon champion last year in London, the other big name from the combined events will also be present on Saturday 30 June at Charléty Stadium for the MEETING de PARIS 2018. Nafissatou Thiam, the reigning world champion and Olympic champion in the heptathlon, has ensured organisers of her participation in the French leg of the IAAF Diamond League.

Calling World champions to Paris !
The curtain fell on the indoor season on Sunday 4 March on the evening of the Worlds in Birmingham. Already though, all eyes are on the 14-episode IAAF Diamond League serial. And there’s good news for the French leg, scheduled for Saturday 30 June 2018 at the Charléty Stadium: four of the heroes from the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, last weekend, have confirmed their presence at the MEETING de PARIS. American Christian Coleman, Russian Mariya Lasitskene and French athletes Renaud Lavillenie and Kevin Mayer, all gold medallists in the UK, will be competing in the Parisian meeting.

Jamaica and Mayer celebrate at Charléty
By securing the win in the women’s 100m and 400m, and the men’s 110m hurdles, the Jamaican athletes had plenty to celebrate this Saturday at the MEETING de PARIS, as had Frenchman Kevin Mayer, who excelled in what proved to be a unique triathlon.
