French athletes poised to host the world’s top athletes !
This year, there is a change of scene for the MEETING de PARIS, but it is continuing with the same bluish tint of France’s homeland. Indeed, on Saturday 1 July, the French leg of the IAAF Diamond League will be hosted at the Charléty stadium, an arena steeped in athletics history, dedicated to this sport and the venue for the European Championships in 2020. In line with tradition, French athletes will certainly have a place here, though they will also have to ensure they bring their A game to win the event as the MEETING de PARIS always features the very best of world athletics. The fierce battles for first place will be led by Dimitri Bascou, Renaud Lavillenie, Christophe Lemaitre and Kevin Mayer, all Olympic medallists in the Rio Games, plus Floria Gueï, one of the leaders of France’s women’s team. They’re poised to host the world.

YES to the MEETING de PARIS and the combined events !
The combined events have been a discipline in a class of their own… to the great regret of their champion Kevin Mayer, who is still heavily involved in the promotion of his sport. However, he can rejoice today as there has been a major breakthrough with the French Athletics Federation registering a triathlon in the programme for the MEETING de PARIS for the very first time. A wish fulfilled then for Kevin Mayer and 5 other athletes, who will be able to take part in the event on 1st July 2017 in Charléty.

MEETING de PARIS, going back to it's roots.
On Saturday 1 July 2017, in the late afternoon, the cream of French and global athletics will push open the gates to the Stade Charléty. The legendary arena will serve as a showcase and a setting for the MEETING de PARIS, the seventh leg of the IAAF Diamond League. After years at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, the Parisian meeting is making a major comeback at the very heart of the capital, having already reinvested in the AccorHotels Arena in Bercy back in February for its indoor version.
