The Kenyan Timothy Cheruiyot won the 1,500m at the MEETING de PARIS on Saturday evening at Charléty. He took victory in 3’29"71, improving on the season’s best performance, which he ran on 31 May in Rome, by over a second.
Djiboutian Ayanleh Souleiman finished the race in 2nd (3’31"77), ahead of the Kenyan Charles Cheboi Simotwo (3’32"61), the two men achieving their best performance of the year in the process. None of the six French athletes competing in the race secured a spot among the top ten.
