Jamaican Natoya Goule, second in 1’58’’59, and Ugandan Winnie Nanyondo (1’58’’83) will accompany her on the podium. Competing on home turf, French athlete Rénelle Lamote pulled out all the stops to qualify for Doha and finished the race breathless in 2’00’’40, in eighth place.
