Announced as the firm favourite, Sam Kendricks held rank on the Charléty track. He posted a faultless performance up to 5.86m, a bar he cleared on his second attempt. The only one left in the competition, he then tackled the highly symbolic six metres. He erased the height with real flare on his third attempt, before ending his competition. Brazilian Augusto Dutra secured a fine second place with 5.80m, his season’s best. Greek jumper Emmanouil Karalis completes the top 3 with 5.70m.
