Chinese athlete Lijiao Gong has taken victory in the shot put with a sizeable lead over her rivals.

Lijiao Gong was a cut above the rest this Saturday at the MEETING de PARIS! The Chinese thrower, Olympic No.2 in 2012, improved on her performance with every one of her six attempts in the shot put, culminating in a throw of 19.14m. She dominated the leader of the Diamond League, Hungarian Anita Marton (18.48m on her 4^th attempt), and Belorusian Yuliya Leantsiuk (18.28m on her 4^thattempt, her season’s best).
