There was no question. Salwa Eid Naser from Bahrain took the win in style in the women’s 400m at the MEETING de PARIS, this Saturday at the Charléty Stadium. She posted the excellent time of 49"55 to finish ahead of three Americans: Jessica Beard (2nd, in 50"39), Phyllis Francis (3rd, in 50"50) and Shakima Wimbley (4th, in 50"81).
Shakima Wimbley, disappointing this evening, just managed to hold onto the title for best performance in the world this season (49"52), only three hundredths of a second faster than the superb result secured tonight by Salwa Eid Naser. French runner Floria Guei finished 7th in the race in 51"71.
