Whilst his compatriot Grant Holloway got off to the best start, Roberts switched things up a gear in the second half of the race to secure victory in 13’’08. Spaniard Orlando Ortega teased his American rival in the closing metres, but ultimately had to bow down to his supremacy and take second in 13’’14. That’s three hundredths of a second faster than Freddie Crittenden, who bagged a surprise third with a new personal best of 13’’17. Fifth in 13’’24, Pascal Martinot-Lagarde secured his season’s best, whilst Holloway lost his footing (6th in 13’’25).
