A Kenyan double in the 800! Ferguson Rotich narrowly took victory on Saturday at the MEETING de PARIS ahead of compatriot Jonathan Kitilit (1’43"73 compared with 1’43"83). Spaniard Saul Ordonez completed the podium in 1’44"36, with American Isaiah Harris earning fourth place in 1’44"42.
French athlete Pierre-Ambroise Bosse, reigning world champion, who has run very little this season, was a tad off the pace to go for victory (7th in 1’45"19). He nevertheless managed to fulfil his brief, achieving the minimum requirement for the European Championships in Berlin (7-12 August 2018).
