Schippers eases to 200m victory

Silver medallist in the women’s 200m in Rio, Dutch runner Dafne Schippers triumphed at the MEETING de PARIS.

Diamond League leader and Olympic 200m silver medallist Dafne Schippers went one better than her Rio performance at the MEETING de PARIS, winning in 22:13, ahead of Great Britain’s Desiree Henry (22:46; new personal best) and the USA’s Jenna Prandini (22:48). Frenchwoman Brigitte Ntiamoah came in seventh in 23:69, while Ivoirian athlete Marie-Josée Ta Lou, who finished fourth in Rio, was unable to complete the race.
