Weir claims 1500m wheelchair win

Saturday’s MEETING AREVA began with Great Britain’s David Weir taking the honours in the 1500m wheelchair race.

Great Britain’s six-time Paralympic champion David Weir won the 1500m wheelchair race at Saturday’s MEETING AREVA. The 35-year-old athlete put in a strong finish to cross the line in a time of 3:18.78, with France’s Julien Casoli second (3:19.05) and Poland’s Tomasz Hamerlack third (3:19.17).
