The 29-year old German, right out in front of the Diamond League ranking, has won the MEETING AREVA this Saturday, with a throw of 20.31m on her final attempt. Chinese athlete Lijiao Gong (19.75m) and American Michelle Carter (19.37m) complete the podium, whilst the thrower from Trinit\u00e9-et-Tobago Cleopatra Borel finishes fourth, thanks to her season\u2019s best (19.07m). The double Olympic champion from New Zealand, Val\u00e9rie Adams, returning to competition mode after a ten-month stoppage following an operation to her elbow and shoulder, finished fifth, with a throw of 18.79m. It\u2019s her first defeat in 56 competitions!
