The Croatian Sandra Perkovic victoriously launched the MEETING de PARIS 2018 on Saturday evening at Charl\u00e9ty, by winning the women\u2019s discus throwing competition with a throw of 68.60m, securing a new meeting record in the process. She beat Cubans Yaim\u00e9 P\u00e9rez (2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 66.55m) and Denia Caballero (3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 63.13m). The Brazilian Andressa De Morais (62.93m) missed out at the foot of the podium.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Calibri\">After failing her first attempt (47.51m), Sandra Perkovic took the lead in the competition on her second throw (68.60m), a performance that could not be bettered either by her or the rest of the competition.
